Motorsport – TeamVodafone’s Jamie Whincup heads to the penultimate Australian V8 Supercar round, at Barbagallo Raceway Perth, having stretched his lead to 122 points at the previous round at Phillip Island.

Yachting - Team New Zealand were gracious in defeat after Italian yachting syndicate Azzurra won the Louis Vuitton Trophy final in France over the weekend. The Italians beat the New Zealanders 2-0 in the final, winning by margins of 25 seconds and 17sec in light winds of six to 10 knots off the coast near Nice.

Tennis - New Zealand’s top two tennis players, Sacha Jones and Marina Erakovic, could cross paths in Japan this week.
